Some people say you will only have one best friend in your life. I would say no to this ‘phrase’. Am the luckiest person in this world as I met not only one, but few since I was young, from high school to college times.
All these years, I have been pampered and surrounded by kindness and love offered by everyone around me.
This blog posted especially to all whom you know who you are, whom I cherished and love so much.
During High School
I was an ordinary small kid till I met these few friends of mine, eventhough we have lost contact for quite a long time. Our group, consisting 6 of us. Am the sound less girl in that group and 1 of them is the most popular amongst all of us. I can still remember she is the cutest and prettiest girl I ever knew during that time. Her name was Serene. All of us would always wanna get along or even just ‘stick’ with her all the day. It was just like, whoever managed to get along with her, you will be ‘like’ her. Sometimes we even quarreled for her. How silly yeah? Well, this is how we get passed the hard and good times. All sorts of funny and sad things happened back then.
I mentioned earlier that our group consist 6, including me. The most brilliant in terms of studies would be my ex-neighbour, Amy. We are neighbours since I was kindergarten and till high school, we moved into a larger house. My mom and her mom still in contact after all these years. But unfortunately not me and her. We have lost contact since we still in secondary as we entered into different schools. Of course she entered among the best of schools and I would be the opposite. But thank God, not that bad anyway. Amy was the most intelligent that I ever knew. And I heard that after graduating from secondary, she went overseas to further her studies which is not a surprise to me. And till date, she is still at overseas for work and family I guess.
Thirdly, Sylvia. She was also the prettiest and kind girl whom I knew till we are in secondary. We went to the same secondary school but were in different class when we are in form 2 to 5. We still contact and greet or talk after the separation (different class), and we have our own good friends by then. She is now married to my ex-classmate, a nice and funny guy. They were the couple since high school times. Am so glad of this pure and sincere relationship. We are best friends since high school.
Fourth, Yong F Kiaw. She is the most ‘less talk’ person in our group. Her mom run a sundries shop and I remember she and her elder sister was stationed at the shop everyday. We get to have some ‘junk snacks’ from her sometimes. Her skin was the fairest and smoothest amongst us all. She and Amy went to the same high school and am not sure whether they are in the same class. But I guess would not be as Amy’s standard was the highest among all of us….however speak frankly, all of them are good in their studies except me of course….
Last but not least, Wong S Yee. We get to seat together during high school and she is the last who joined our group as she joined our school at a very later stage, primary 3 or 4 if am not mistaken. Both of us helped each other a lot no matter in what kind of stuff.
6 of us always attached to each other no matter where we go and even seating next or back to each other. Other classmates named our group as the ‘princess’ group due to our ‘attachment’ and plus all sort of features and characters.
During High school
I was a little naïve back then. The first day of my secondary would be the most unforgettable moments I ever had. Cos back then, I met one of my best friend, who is now married with a wonderful husband and a son. I still remember that I was arranged to be seated with her on the first day of school and without knowing any new friends yet at that time, she is a stranger to me and am a stranger to her as well. But, she was so popular at that time due to her talkative manners. She was far more brave than me. She would always talked whenever and wherever. I would always laughed at class because of her. Her name was Jennifer. But we never called her by that name. We still meeting each other at present.
Our relationship getting more tighter when we are in form 2. As not only her, few more added into our group. Same like during high school, we would be attached to each other whenever and wherever we go. Other than Jennifer, here comes our ‘leader’ of the group, Karen. She was the most active person whom acted and helped anyone of us if matters arise. Karen would be the strongest or toughest person whom I ever met. Due to her family’s background and she was the eldest, she tend to be the tough. After school ends, we all would gathered at her home and do all sorts of things. We would go for tuitions, shops, part time works and etc together. She is now married with an Indian husband and 2 cutest son and daughter. Other than this, she opened a Chinese Muslim restaurant. You get to eat different kinds of dishes there.
Now, here comes the most shy person I ever met. Jenny. She is the most prettiest in our group or shall I say the most gentle as well. I remembered, she would be always the last who jump out from the crowd after all of us have already jumped out. Not that she is unwilling, but she tend to think carefully and make sure it is 100% alright to be accomplished. She is the most careful person I ever knew as well. Love her careful thoughts also but sometimes we get tired of waiting for her. (Sigh!)….She is now married with 2 children as well, a daughter and a son.
Last but not least also, Caryn. She was also my ex-school mate during primary. Our relationship gets more closer when we are in the same high school. She is the best of best friend to me in our group. Two of us would always be together no matter when or where eventhough we quarreled lots of times. If both of us were still boiling the soups, Karen and others would not dare to disturb or say anything Caryn and I tend to have the same temper : ‘stubborn’. But after a while, we will get back to the normal us. Others get bored by our ‘childish’ reactions or attitudes. Funny to think back all these. She is now staying permanent at West Malaysia and currently working well for her sister to take care of the food court business. Wish her all the luck.
We all still contact each other and even meeting each other sometimes. The feelings of missing each other still played around us. We would sometimes called each other in order to updates some missing data.
Some relationship can last forever. But some only for a while. You can called it fate who brings us together and faith who helped us to stay together. “Forgive” and “forget”. I misses all of them very much. I wish and pray for all the people around the world…do cherish and remember whoever you met from the past and do forgive those you hate from the past as well. The reason for this blog also for me to keep records of whom my best friend was long time ago…and when am older, when my brain cannot works 100%, I still can trace back through this page.
